  If you are not planning on having both the wedding cake and the groom's cake made here, be aware that they will refuse to accommodate you.
  
  My mother and I recently called to confirm that they would be able to make a cake by the date we needed, that they could make the type of cake we needed (a red velvet sheet cake) and that they could create the design we had selected. We then drove 20 minutes to show them exactly what we wanted. When they found out it was a groom's cake, they refused to make it on the basis that someone might think their cake was better than the wedding cake (which is being made by a friend).
  
  I was dumbfounded. What kind of a cake place won't make a cake because they think people might like it? Or what kind of a cake place doesn't want their cakes compared to other cakes? I guess I should have said it was a birthday cake. At least I would have my cake. Very poor customer service. They made my mom and I feel stupid for ordering a cake at a place that specializes in cakes. We won't be going there again.
